Three of a Kind is in the bottom half of all poker hand rankings. When two or more players have a hand of the same rank, then there are more ways to determine the best hand. The higher the rank of your hand the better, because two pairs always beats one pair, and a flush always beats a straight. The higher the rank, the less chance statistically you have of getting it.
